American record producer Jermain Dupri defended iconic rapper Kanye West’s delayed album called ‘Donda’ by sharing a tweet on his verified Twitter page.
Kanye West’s soon-to-be-released album Donda, which is named after his late mother, missed the release date which was due last Friday. While some were disappointed at the delay some were supportive of the decision.
One of the many who supported Kanye for his decision to postpone the release date was Jermaine Dupri. He claimed that the reason behind the delay was due to Kanye’s meticulousness about his album. Dupri thinks that Kanye simply wanted to throw more listening parties so that he could make the necessary tweaks before releasing the whole album.
You can find Dupri’s tweet about Kanye’s album below:
I’m not sure many understand what Ye did because niggas don’t have listening parties much in this era but you play the music and gage what you got by the reactions, then prioritize by best reaction and fix where the response was weak, real A&R shit
