Jhene Aiko Shares A Rare Photo Of Herself As She Recalls The Day She Gave Birth 12 Years Ago

R&B singer and songwriter Jhene Aiko has shared a rare photo of herself on her official Instagram account and celebrated the 12th birthday of her little-known daughter Namiko Love Browner.

Jhene Aiko has a daughter named Namiko at the age of 12, and today she posted a very rare photograph that has never been seen before to celebrate her birthday.

The 32-year-old R&B artist shared a photo of her giving birth on a hospital stretcher. The photo was exactly 12 years ago. Jhene wanted to celebrate and recall the day she gave birth to her first and only child and proved how much she loved Namika by writing an emotional letter.

Jhene said that she never regretted being a young mother, even thanking God for this opportunity. Defining the birth of her daughter as the best day of her life, Jhene gave her the best birthday gift in this way.

Here’s what she wrote:

“I got pregnant at 20 and @millimoto_ said to me “if u a G… you’re gonna have this baby” and I was like “you know what… I AM a G!” I have never had any regrets about being a young mom a day in my life. I can only thank God for the opportunity 🙏🏼 this picture was taken while I was in labor… 12 years ago today (11/19/08) easily the best day of my life. Time flies. Every moment counts. Happy Birthday, Nami!”

She also shared never-before-seen photos of her daughter and said she had nothing more valuable than Namiko. The singer said that when Namiko was born, she was a waitress who tried to produce her first mixtape, she did her best to raise her wonderfully.

“If you know me, you know… There’s nothing more important to me than this girl right here. my favorite thing to do is be a mom. When I first had Nami I was a waitress working on my first mixtape… Then I started touring, traveling, constantly working… This year has been so intense and chaotic, but it’s been one of my favorites simply because I’ve been able to spend so much time with her.

Raising a preteen in 2020 is very stressful lol, but I appreciate every moment and all the lessons. I have a whole 12-year-old. I will never not get emotional on her birthday. Happy Birthday, Namiko Love. (swipe to the end to hear her sing like a baby angel at her 5th-grade talent show a few years ago)”
