John Boyega Recalls Daniel Kaluuya’s 2010 Starring Role As He Congrats Him For The Golden Globe Award

Actor John Boyega has updated his Instagram feed to congratulate his close friend and actor, Daniel Kaluuya, after the 2021 Golden Globe awards were announced.

The Golden Globes 2021 were hosted, once again, by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey simultaneously in both New York and Los Angeles. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, actors and actresses attended the ceremony virtually at their homes.

Daniel Kaluuya won the Golden Globe in the Best Supporting Actor with Judas and the Black Messiah. His friend John Boyega did not neglect to celebrate on Instagram for his victory.

Boyega recalled Daniel Kaluuya’s 2010 starring role in a play called Sucker Punch in which the ripped actor, portraying a boxer, had to skip while delivering a monologue every single night for the entire run of the play while congratulating him for his success.

The 28-year-old actor also showed his love and respect for Kaluuya by saying that ‘love you, bro.’ John Boyega, who won the Best Supporting Award in a TV Series with Small Ax, also found it crazy that they both won awards on the same night.

Here’s what John Boyega said:

“Years ago I waited at the stage door for Daniel after his performance in Sucker Punch. He took some time to give me great insight and now here we are. On the same night! Crazy! Love bro Congratulations King Kaluuya.”
