The daughter of Johnny Depp, Lily-Rose will star in writer-director Nathalie Biancheri’s Wolf, about a man who believes he is a wolf trapped in a human body, and showed she started to read the movie script.
The shooting was planned to begin in April but was delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Lily-Rose signaled that the shooting will begin after she shared the script on Instagram Stories.
As you might remember, Depp recently appeared in The King and will next be seen in Neil Burger’s Voyager and Nicholas Jarecki’s Dreamland.
Lily-Rose shared her excitement about coming back to work again by sharing the script of ‘Wolf’ on Instagram Stories. She didn’t prefer to write anything about the movie. We just see the two hearts on the script.
On the other hand, the filmmaker has spoken in a recent interview about her upcoming movie and explained what people should expect from the movie.
Here’s what Nathalie said:
“The inspiration comes from a real condition, species dysphoria, in which people believe they are an animal trapped in a human body. I wanted to depart from reality and take the film into an increasingly disturbing and violent microcosm where I could explore the meaning of the pressure to conform and how far we’ve departed from our basic instincts.
The world of the film is colourful and perpetually ambiguous. Ultimately however it is Jacob’s story and in the simplest form, a quest for personal freedom.”
