Justice League director Zack Snyder shared a secret photo of Wonder Woman surrounded by warriors during the Crimean War on his Twitter account and revealed that his vision was very different than Patty Jenkins’.
While fans of Snyder are getting excited for the release of The Snyder Cut of Justice League coming to HBO Max in March, the director surprised everyone with his tweet about Wonder Woman.
In the secret photo he shared, Diana Prince is standing among warriors and holding heads of dead people. Zack Snyder seems to paint a more warrior portrait of Wonder Woman, unlike the image of Diana in Patty Jenkins’ movies.
In Zack Snyder’s concept of Wonder Woman the timeline was different than Patty Jenkins’s version and she changed the timeline on her story to post World War 1.
In Zack Snyder’s version, however, it was during the Crimean War and takes place long before she met the love of her life, Steve.
In his tweet, the director stated that this amazing shot was from an else-world where Diana was war weary and chaised Aries across the battlefields of the world.
He also mentioned that Steve helped Diana to restore her faith in mankind after witnessing so much inhumanity throughout the history of it.
Here’s what he tweeted:
“Wonder Woman 1854 – This amazing image shot by Stephen Berkman of an else-world, war weary Diana, who had chased Aries across the battlefields of the world and had yet to meet Steve, who would help her restore her faith in mankind and love itself.”
