New York rapper Consequence has shared his thoughts about Kanye West’s decisions and explained why the rapper ran for the presidency of the United States.
There is a special bond between Consequence and Kanye West. The two have great friends since 2002. For this reason, they support each other in all matters.
Recently President Donald Trump may have been struggling to admit defeat, but Kanye West outstripped his presidential loss. West managed to get around 60k votes out of the 160 million votes cast, and after the defeat, he declared that he would run the 2024 presidential race. Now, when his friend Consequence admits to voting for Kanye, he explains why he was running for president.
During a recent interview with ‘The Jasmine Brand,’ the 43-year-old rapper said he voted for Kanye West because he believed in his case. The rapper, who was like a brother to him, said he would support him in everything.
Here’s what he said:
“That’s my brother. Kanye’s my brother, so if anybody brother was running for president, they would vote for they brother. Our children play together. So, if he was going to the White House, I was going with him. When he goes to the governor’s mansion, I’m going with him. So, that’s just what it is.
We’ve had a friendship and a brotherhood that’s endured since 2002, so we’re going on 18, 19, 20 years. We had a time where we weren’t seeing eye-to-eye and had a falling out and we patched that up and we love each other like brothers. I love him, I love his wife and their children and their family. They treated my son like a blood relative and anything that he needs from me no matter what, I’m there for him.”
When Kanye West announced his candidacy for president, everyone thought he acted this way because he had some mental problems. But Consequence made this point clear and said he was not crazy, describing him as someone who followed his passions. He added:
“He’s not crazy. He’s not off the rails. He’s a very passionate person about the ideals that he has and he’s juggling a lot.”
