Karen Gillan Makes A Heartbreaking Statement About The Bushfire In Australia

The Scottish actress and filmmaker, Karen Gillan, has shared a very sad photo of an animal who got away from bushfire via her verified and official Instagram account.

The bushfire was started in the northeast on 20 December 2019, which spread to 15,000 hectares (37,000 acres) and destroyed one home; a man was charged with starting the fire. It’s still active.

Karen Gillan shared some photos belong to the bushfire in Australia, and she made an important statement for helping all animals and people who live there.

Here’s her statement:

“Can’t stop thinking about the awful turn of events in Australia. Where can we donate to help Australia?

Fire departments: In both Victoria and New South Wales, two of the states hardest hit by the blazes, you can donate directly to the state fire authority or to a local fire brigade, many of which are volunteer-based.

“Experience tells us that donation of money is much more effective and provides more flexibility than the donation of material items or pre-loved goods,” the Victorian Country Fire Authority says on its website.

For fire departments in Victoria, donate at For departments in New South Wales click the link in my bio. #austrailia.”

A fan named Tom Holland commented:

“I’m in the fires right now💛 I pray that all Aussies are safe, praying for everyone 💛.”

Another fan named Mark Gearheart wrote this:

“I’m poor AF compared to you but where did you donate? I’ll put what I can towards.”
