Singer Kelly Clarkson, who is a jury of The Voice and has a beautiful strong voice, is dealing with many problems in her private life, even though she is progressing very successfully in her career.
The successful singer has been on the agenda with her ongoing divorce process with Brandon Blackstock and shared how she overcame this process with her fans.
The couple, who married in 2013, had a daughter named River in 2014 and a son named Remington in 2016. But Clarkson, who announced that she decided to end their seven-year marriage in June this year, is known to have made this decision after a long quarantine period spent together.
During the divorce process, there were many negative situations that were reflected in the press, such as the case with her father-in-law and Brandon Blackstock demanding $ 436K per month from Kelly Clarkson for spousal & child support.
The 38-year-old singer is trying to spend these difficult days with the least impact on her children while at the same time trying to heal her soul with music.
Speaking at her morning show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, the singer explained that she felt good by listening to Garth Brooks’ song released in 1989 and that the song ‘The Dance‘ defines everything in her life right now.
Here’s the caption:
“I couldn’t quite nail down the feeling. You don’t want to crap on it. You don’t want to say, ‘That didn’t count or matter,’ but you don’t know what to put in it because it didn’t work out how you wanted.
Anyway, I kid you not, I was listening to my playlist and ‘The Dance’ came on and I was like, ‘No, that’s the thing. That’s it!’… I sang that song from childhood and it never hit me.
[When] it hit me I was literally bawling. I was like, ‘It’s not so bad. It was worth it.’ Because it is true. I think a lot of people who go through such a devastating [experience], there’s a lot of grief with it, a lot of loss, and a lot of change, especially with kids.”
The singer, who tried to read various personal development books, explained that the song was better for her than the books. Kelly Clarkson was so impressed with the song that she started writing a new song, inspired by it.
“It’s not like your song, it’s not a rip off, but I literally wrote this whole thing therapeutically for me, it’s actually on my next album, the whole come around, the little tag part is, ‘Even though my heart is broken / It was worth the dance anyway.'”
