Khalid Admits He Couldn’t Predict These Days After Becoming The Youngest Artist To Sell The Most RIAA Certified Units
Singer and songwriter Khalid opened up on his early career on his Instagram page after becoming the youngest artist to sell the most RIAA certified units.
Khalid is officially the youngest artist in history to sell over 74.5 million RIAA-certified units in the United States.
On Thursday, the 23-year-old singer shared his thoughts about the huge success and revealed unknown about his early career when he was 17.
In his message, Khalid said that when he was a 17-year-old boy, he was pursuing a musical career and had no idea where life would take him. However, the successful artist said he was very happy to do what he loved and was grateful to all of his fans for these achievements.
Here’s what Khalid stated:
“Okay, this is crazy!!!! Day after day, I’m so thankful for the amount of growth I’ve gone through on all aspects. I remember being 17, pursuing a music career, and having absolutely no clue on where my life was going to take me. I’m so happy to be able to be in the position to do what I love and receive an abundance of love right back.
I don’t take ANYTHING for granted and I’m so appreciative of every conversation/moment I’ve experienced on this ongoing journey, but every moment I’ve experienced has taught me more about myself and the type of artist I want to become. I wanna thank you guys, my supporters, for holding me down because none of this would be possible without you.
The future is unwritten and I can’t wait show you guys what I’ve been working on for the past year. Album 3 is my most personal project yet (and my favorite one so far), just know I’m working very hard to give you guys music that I truly believe in. Thank you guys for everything!”
