Cleveland-origin rapper and actor Kid Cudi responded to an internet user’s criticism about his character and acting in the HBO’s new series, We Are Who We Are.
Cudi also ventured into acting when he was cast in the new HBO series We Are Who We Are. But this is not a new thing for the rapper. In the past, he has appeared in several feature films, including Goodbye World (2013), Need for Speed (2014), Entourage (2015), and Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020).
We Are Who We Are is a drama limited television series directed by Luca Guadagnino. The series, a story of coming of age at an army base in Italy, is about two 14-year-old Americans, Fraser Wilson, and Caitlin Harper. Kid Cudi is portraying Richard Poythress, one of the main characters in the series. He is a by-the-book military man, Richard is Jenny’s husband. He has a close bond with his daughter, Caitlin.
Kid Cudi took to Twitter on Saturday to check the weekend mood of his followers and saluted his fans with a simple tweet. He wrote:
“Hey! What yall up to?”
A Twitter user named ToroyMai stopped in the comment section and criticized his character in the We Are Who We Are in a harsh way and said he disliked his acting. The fan commented:
“Just finished watching We Are Who We Are and I dislike your character soo much.”
The 36-year-old rapper retweeted the criticism message he got from his follower and responded to him by leaving a really simple message. He said:
