The late Los Angeles Lakers superstar guard Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, has not shared anything on her official Instagram account for five days but she broke her social media silence due to the important reason.
As you might remember, George Floyd was killed by a police officer while putting his knee to his neck on May 25. Even though he didn’t do anything wrong, they maltreated him just because he is a black guy.
After this brutal murder, demonstrators flocked to the streets in Minneapolis and many other states of the country to protest racial murders by the police, and also, many celebrities reacted to police violence via social media accounts.
Kobe Bryant’s widow, Vanessa Bryant has not talked about this brutal murder until today. She started to share some serious statements about the death of George Floyd and also the racism problems in America.
Here’s what she wrote in her first Instagram Stories:
“It is not enough to be quietly non-racist, now is the time to be vocally anti-racist.”
After a few minutes, Vannessa shared the meaningful words of Desmond Tutu:
“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.”
Vanessa continued to share new statement about the racism:
“I see your color and I honor you. O value your input. I will be educated about your lived experiences. I will work against the racism that harms you. You are beautiful. Tell me how to do better… That ‘s the Goal.”
