Television personality and Portland Trail Blazers veteran Carmelo Anthony’s ex-wife, La La Anthony announced she is joining the cast of 50 Cent’s ‘Black Mafia Family’ on Instagram and shared her thoughts about her new character.
‘Black Mafia Family’ is inspired by the true story of two brothers who rose from the decaying streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980s and gave birth to one of the most influential crime families in this country.
Earlier Thursday, it was reported La La Anthony, Snoop Dogg, and Serayah McNeill to star in ‘Black Mafia Family,’ produced by 50 Cent.
La La jumped to Instagram after the news was heard and shared a screenshot from Deadline, a news website. Saying that her role is no longer a secret, La La said she was looking forward to her character.
Th 39-year-old actress also thanked her close friend and producer of the show, Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, for including her in the cast.
Here’s what La La said:
“BMF let’s GOOO!!! The secret is OUT!! I’m joining the cast of BMF on @starz. I can’t wait for you to see my character!! Thank you to my fam @50cent… You always keep your word no matter what…WE ARE BACCK‼️ Thanks, @tasha4realsmith & Randy. It’s UP from here‼️I CANT WAIT.”
50 Cent also took to Instagram and shared the same screenshot from Deadline and shared his thoughts about the names added to the cast.
Here’s what 50 Cent wrote:
“I haven’t been posting because I been working. @lala a tell you we ain’t playing no games on this side. Greenlight Gang roll with us or get rolled over.”
