Grammy Award-winning singer Lady Gaga shared a new update on Instagram and announced that she would change the purpose of usage of social media accounts.
The 34-year-old multi-awarded star shared a new photo that shows her tattoo with a ‘peace‘ symbol inked on her wrist and made a new announcement about the fate of social media accounts.
In the announcement, Gaga said that she was giving over her Instagram account to each of the organizations she has recently donated to, in an effort to amplify their important voices.
Her decision made most of her fans sad, but this meaningful change caused her to be praised by her fans. She stated:
“Starting tomorrow, I’m giving over my Instagram account to each of the organizations I’ve recently donated to, in an effort to amplify their important voices.”
“And after I vow to regularly, in perpetuity, across all of my social media platforms, post stories, content, and otherwise lift up the voices of the countless inspiring members and groups within the Black community.”
A Lady Gaga die-hard fan added a comment:
“Thank you for using your platform to make such a difference.”
Another fan said:
“I love you, mommy… Thank you for keep fighting for us.”
