Lana Del Rey Admits She’s Blessed To Hear Joan Baez’s Music As She Celebrates Her 80th Birthday

Indie rock singer and songwriter, Lana Del Rey updated her Instagram feed and celebrated th 80th birthday of Joan Baez with a beautiful tribute.

Lana Del Rey took to Instagram late Saturday to celebrate one of her inspirations in music, singer, songwriter, musician, and activist Joan Baez by sharing two different photos of herself and the iconic singer.

As you might see in the first photo, Lana shared a sweet photo posing herself and Joan side-by-side and sincerely. In the second photo, she sang with Greenwich Village folk icon on the stage at her show in Berkeley, California.

As you remember, Together they performed one of Baez’s signature songs, ‘Diamonds & Rust.’ The two dueted over Baez’s guitar, singing about Baez’s memories with the one and only Bob Dylan during Lana’s show in Berkeley, California.

The 35-year-old singer also penned down a beautiful birthday message and mentioned Joan Baez’s impact on her music and career.

Here’s what Lana Del Rey said:

“Happiest of Birthdays to the smartest most shining guiding light in music. Every chance we get to hear some insight into how you think about your art is a blessing.

‘you can’t wait for anyone to join you when it comes to making a movement or taking a stance.’ What a beautiful thing to say in the live stream”
