Legendary comedian Larry King confirmed that his two children, Andy and Chaia, by sharing an emotional statement on his official Facebook page.
In his official statement on Facebook, the 86-year-old comedian said that his son Andy died unexpectedly of a heart attack on July 28th, and his daughter Chaia passed away having been diagnosed with lung cancer. King’s daughter, Chaia, was 51, and his son, Andy, was 65. He said:
“It is with sadness and a father’s broken heart that I confirm the recent loss of two of my children, Andy King, and Chaia King. Both of them were good and kind souls, and they will be greatly missed.
Andy passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on July 28th, and Chaia passed on August 20th, only a short time after having been diagnosed with lung cancer.”
King continued and said that losing their children was very unusual and said no parent should bury their child. He said:
“Losing them feels so out of order. No parent should have to bury a child.”
Finally, he thanked everyone who sent their good wishes and added that he needs a little time and privacy to heal:
“My family and I thank you for your outpouring of kind sentiments and well wishes. In this moment, we need a little time and privacy to heal. I thank you for respecting that.”
