The 2021 NBA Finals, which everyone has been eagerly waiting for, have begun, and the Western Conference champion Phoenix Suns and Eastern Conference champion Milwaukee Bucks face off in a 7-game streak to become the NBA champions.
Phoenix Suns defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 118-105 in the first game of the NBA Finals played last night and took a 1-0 lead in the Finals. Chris Paul led the way with yet another stellar postseason outing. He scored 32 points to lead the Suns, but Devin Booker wasn’t far behind with 27 of his own.
Following the Suns’ victory, Los Angeles Lakers basketball star LeBron James took to Twitter to support his close friend Chris Paul, writing:
“1 down. 3 to go @CP3”
Some fans thought he was supporting the Suns. Others said that he tweeted it simply because he wanted Chris Paul to win a championship. Either way, LeBron wants the Phoenix Suns to be champions.
As you may recall, LeBron lost 4-2 to the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs. If the Suns win the finals, they will have won their first championship as a team.
