Formula 1 champion pilot Lewis Hamilton had moved away from social media after turning 36 in early January, but the successful pilot shared a new video, quenching his followers’ curiosity and explaining that he was training in the mountains every day on his Instagram account.
The 36-year-old Hamilton said he was hiking in the hills of snowy mountains with his latest post and he wrote to let fans know he was doing good, he was healthy and mentally strong right now in his bubble.
In the passing year, Lewis Hamilton defeated the coronavirus, reached his 7th championship, equalized the championship numbers with Michael Schumacher, gained the title of one of the greatest legends of Formula 1, and received a knighthood.
On Monday, Lewis Hamilton took Instagram to share a video that he took while hiking in the mountains. He stated that he trained his mind and body hard every day getting to the top which was at 3400m having less oxygen than at sea level.
After updating his fans about his health and status, he stated that he hoped his followers stayed as positive as they could with all that was going on advising them to keep their heads up. Hamilton also said that he wanted to see his fans all again at some stage soon and sent his love and light.
Here’s the caption:
“Hey World, I haven’t been on here for a while. I’m in the mountains training everyday, getting my mind and body right. I’m hiking to the top of the mountain every morning.
3 of those hikes I cross country ski once I get to the top which is at 3400m, killer. I love altitude training, there is less oxygen high up so working out is much harder than at sea level, just walking up the stairs you feel it at 2000m.
Normally when I finish training here and return to sea level running is such a breeze. I’m trying to find the right balance in cardio and strength building. On top of that, lots of work ongoing in the background.
Many moving parts but just checking in to let you know I’m doing good, I’m healthy and mentally strong right now in my bubble. I hope you are staying as positive as you can with all that is still going on.
Keep your head up. I can’t wait to see you all again at some stage soon. Sending you love and light🙏🏾 #teamlh”
