One of the most famous British F1 racers of all time and current driver of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport, Lewis Hamilton, has posted some throwback photos of his little puppy, Coco, via his verified Instagram account and made a heartbreaking statement about it.
Lewis Hamilton’s little girl, Coco, passed away at home at around 9 pm on Thursday night, and Lewis had tried desperately to revive her, but she didn’t return back to life.
Today, Lewis Hamilton shared some adorable photos of Coco, which are taken when they had great times together and penned down a really heartbreaking letter to pay his tribute to his little girl. He saddened his 16M IG followers the death of Coco, and most of his followers jumped to the comment section for supporting him.
Here’s the statement of Lewis:
“Last night at around 9 pm, my beautiful little girl Coco died at home with the family by her side. Her little heart gave in; we think it was a heart attack. I tried to revive her, but it was no use. She’d had the best day, happier than I’d seen her in a long time.
She was such a special dog, born with so many problems, and I feel so lucky to have adopted her. Her breeder said she was going to have to put her down as she wouldn’t be able to afford all the things she would need to survive, she went through a lot to become the bouncy, lazy, loving dog she was.
On her last day, we shared a special moment playing together, which I will never forget. I will miss her snoring and how happy she was always to see me. She was only 6, healthy, and happy. Naturally, my heart is broken, but I hope she’s in a better place with my Aunty Diane.
I wanted to share with you and thank those of you who loved and cared for her. #coco #restinpeace.”
A fan named Andrew helped him after the tragic death of Coco:
“So sorry to hear that, Lewis. They are the best of friends. I loved watching her adventures with you!”
Another fan named Lisa Lynch wrote a sad comment:
“Lewis, I’m so so sorry 💔 .”
