Atlanta rapper Lil Baby and Brooklyn Nets basketball player James Harden, who were in France for Fashion Week, were stopped and detained by the police while they were wandering the streets of Paris.
Allegedly, James Harden was released, but the news that Lil Baby was arrested spread widely on social media. Late on Thursday, authorities said rapper Lil Baby, one of two people detained by French police as part of a drug investigation, had been released.
He was ordered to pay a fine for his drug use, the Paris prosecutor’s office told NBC News on Friday morning. The amount of the fine and the name of the second person detained were not disclosed.
Following her release, Lil Baby took to Twitter and tweeted that he was fine. In a short time, his tweet was liked by 30k people and his fans supported the rapper.
