Rapper Lil Nas X, whose name is Montero Lamar Hill, explained why he named his new single ‘Sun Goes Down’ on his official and verified Twitter account.
Lil Nas X broke records with the song Montero (Call Me By Your Name) released a month ago and his crazy music video. After the success of this song in a short time, Lil Nas X recently released the song Sun Goes Down, which is an emotional song.
X, who released Sun Goes Down on Friday, took to Twitter and explained why he named the song Sun Goes Down. In his tweet, he said that he feels like at night is when those thoughts they try to avoid really start to hit and they can’t escape them.

“I named the song “Sun Goes Down” because I feel like at night is when those thoughts you try to avoid really start to hit and you can’t escape them”
He also tweeted:
“I know that you want to cry. but it’s much more to life than dying over your past mistakes.”

A few days ago, Lil Nas X was interviewed with People and expressed his views on the Internet trolls criticizing him were clear. The rapper said that his feelings were rarely hurt because he had been on the internet for many years and had experienced this situation before.
He said:
“I guess it’s because I kind of grew up on the internet and I’ve been through this before, and I know to take everything with a grain of salt. So it’s rare that it’ll actually get to me, where I’m like, ‘Oh, that hurts.’”
He continued:
“I was happy that a lot of people seeing this growing up are going to remember it for the rest of their lives and they’re going to feel more confident in themselves.”
