Rapper Lil Nas X responded to backlash over his brand new music video called ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ on his Twitter page.
Lil Nas X released the first song of 2021, and this highly anticipated song has a crazy music video. The music video shows Eve kissing a snake, a pole dancer who seduces the devil, and a prisoner chained by people wearing Regency-era wigs. Everyone described in the video was played by Lil Nas X.
A Twitter user claimed that the system targeted children by posting an old video of Lil Nas X performing Old Town Road in a kindergarten. The reason for these claims is that X released a music video called ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ yesterday and this video is the rapper’s first queer-themed video.
Lil Nas X hopped to Twitter and responded to the Twitter user and said he made the decision to create the music video because he is an adult. He continued and committed he is not gonna spend his entire career trying to cater to their children.
Here’s what Lil Nas X said:
“There was no system involved. I made the decision to create the music video. I am an adult. I am not gonna spend my entire career trying to cater to your children. that is your job.”
