The 62nd annual Grammy Awards, which is described as the biggest night in the music world, took place at the Los Angeles Staples Center on January 26th.
Country-rapper Lil Nas X’s Old Town Road song, which is collaborated with Billy Ray Cyrus, won the Grammy in the best music video category among the video clips such as ‘We’ve Got to Try’ with The Chemical Brothers, ‘This Land’ with Gary Clark Jr., ‘Cellophane’ with FKA Twigs, ‘Glad He’s Gone’ with Tove Lo.
As we all know, Lil Nas X‘s debut and the viral song ‘Old Town Road’ remained the #1Billboard 100 charts for 19 weeks. The 20-year-old rapper has the longest-running No.1 single in history. His song defeated Mariah Carey’s ‘One Sweet Day’ and Luis Fonsi’s ‘Despacito.’ That’s a great success for this young country-rapper. It is also remarkable that he achieved this success with his first song.
The video directed by Calmatic has made Recording Academy history as the 62nd annual Grammy Award winner for Best Video. After it was announced that the video was the winner, Lil Nas X approached the stage and simply grateful.
