Lizzo Receives Meaningful Support From Her Fans After She Documents A 10-Day Smoothie Challenge

After receiving backlash from people about her detoxing post, Lizzo posted a photo of herself on her Instagram account explaining that doing detox doesn’t mean she no longer loves her body and that she just wants to eat healthily.
The 32-year-old singer has become a symbol of body positivity for people who are not at peace with their bodies and don’t have self-acceptance because before Lizzo there wasn’t anybody who didn’t hesitate to show off their plus-size bodies creating a positive movement.
However, after all the shares in which she bravely showed her body and weight, the last one she shared in which she showed her detox challenge for 10 days was not welcomed by the singer’s fans.
Lizzo, who recorded and shared the changes in her body for 10 days, wanted to start a healthy diet, but this situation was misunderstood by her followers and claimed that the singer encouraged dieting.
On Tuesday, after unsettled criticisms, Lizzo responded to everyone who wrote hateful comments by sharing a photo revealing her weight.
In the caption, Lizzo emphasized that although she did detox, she was still fat, that she still loved her body and found herself beautiful, while at the same time emphasizing that these were not mutually exclusive.
Addressing the people who took her as an example, the singer stated that she did not starve herself, so no one should starve themselves.
Taking care of herself, Lizzo tried to explain to those who did not understand that she eats greens and fruits, drank plenty of water and that this was not related to whether she liked her body or not.
She advised people to find their own way and do what they want with their bodies.
Here’s the caption:
“I detoxed my body and I’m still fat. I love my body and I’m still fat. I’m beautiful and I’m still fat. These things are not mutually exclusive. To the people who look to me, please do not starve yourselves.
I did not starve myself. I fed myself greens and water and fruit and protein and sunlight. You don’t have to do that to be beautiful or healthy.
That was my way. You can do life your way. Remember, despite anything anyone says or does ✨DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH YOUR BODY✨”
One of her followers wrote:
“Yes! I wish people would stop hating. You have done SO much good for the body positivity movement and I hope people don’t forget that. Chin up beautiful you are so loved xx”
Another follower wrote:
“You do you babe! everyone takes care of themselves differently. we’re proud of you always! 💙”
