Lord Of The Rings’ Andy Serkis Is Appalled After A Horrific Death

English actor Andy Serkis, who is best known for his performance as Gollum in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, tweeted out a new message on his verified Twitter account and reacted to the death of George Floyd.

George Floyd, who is an unarmed and handcuffed black man, murdered by a white police officer named Derek Chauvin after the arrest in Minneapolis.

Derek Chauvin was dismissed after the terrible incident, but the police officer was charged with murder and sent to prison after the protests increased. However, protests persist after the arrest of officer involved in George Floyd killing.

Andy Serkis sent a supporting message to the African-American people and shared his sadness after George Floyd’s death. He admitted he felt appalled and ashamed to be a white man. He added that these racist murders would and must stop.

Here’s the tweet:

“RIP George. While we are furious on your behalf, our hearts break when we try to imagine your suffering. How can Humanity be capable of this horrific act? We are ashamed. Enraged. Know that Your death will not be in vain. Everyone is appalled. It must and will stop.”

A Twitter user named Aaron thanked him for his support and said:

“Thank You for your Support Man.”

Another fan named Jessie expressed her opinions in a different way and wrote:

“I usually read your tweets in Gollum’s voice. Not this one. You’re absolutely right. This heinous violence against our Black kindred must stop.”
