Grammy Award-winning singer Madonna has shared a new photo on her Instagram page and supported the activists who protest District Attorney of Los Angeles County, Jackie Lacey.
The demonstrators took action in front of the city hall due to the attitude of District Attorney of Los Angeles County against police brutality.
On Wednesday, Queen of Pop was spotted with a group of activists outside the city hall in Los Angeles to demand the resignation of District Attorney Jackie Lacey.
At the protests that take place every Wednesday, Madonna urged her fans, who live in Los Angeles, to join every week Wednesday in front of the city hall.
The 61-year-old singer also posed with two activists, Janaya Future Khan and Kendrick Sampson, and listened to the speeches of families who sacrificed their children to police violence.
Here’s what Madonna said:
“Every Weds for the last few years Black Lives Matter LA, has gathered in front of City Hall to demand the resignation of D.A. Jackie Lacey and to grieve with mothers mourning the loss of their children to police brutality.
I urge you to join them next Wed. And every Wed. I did today and had the honor of meeting these two compelling and impassioned activists Janaya Future Khan and Kendrick Sampson I cried for two hours feeling the anguish of the mothers who spoke but at the same time, I saw hope in the leaders of this generation.”
Activist Kendrick Sampson commented and said:
“✊🏽🙏🏽🖤 Thank you for joining”
