Mariah Carey Pays Tribute To Prince By Making A Reminder Of His Legendary Album

One of the greatest R&B singers of the world, Mariah Carey, appreciated and commemorated another legendary artist of pop and soul music, Prince, via her Instagram account and addressed his role in bringing the cultural revolution in the Black community with his album 1987 ‘Sign O’ The Times.’
‘Sign O’ The Times’ is described as Prince’s masterpiece. In the 1987 album, there were tracks about Ronald Reagen, drug-addiction, and AIDS. A deluxe edition was released in the previous days which has 63 unreleased tracks and it’s effects on the music culture again started to be discussed.
Mariah Carey, in her latest post, shared the photo of Prince and explained that ‘Sign O’ The Times’ was an album that pushed the boundaries of R&B and pop music while addressing the state of our country. The album was a cultural critique of its era, but all the problems are still relevant in these days.
Here’s what she said:
“Prince will forever be a music icon. Although he had MANY hits and started plenty of musical movements, his 1987 ‘Sign ‘O’ The Times’ was a cultural revolution that used pop and soul to address the state of our country. Head over to @wearepushblack or swipe up in my story to be reminded of this legendary piece of work.”
