The story of the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, released in November, includes Rey Skywalker’s journey through Star Wars history, observing and learning from past Jedi masters.
As we all know, Mark Hamill played Luke Skywalker in the movie Star Wars. He is also known for his voices in Joker and Avatar movies. However, Mark Hamill did not voice Luke at the Christmas special. Eric Bauza used his voice for Luke Skywalker.
A Twitter user wondered why Mark Hamill didn’t participate in this special event. But the 69-year-old actor revealed on his official Twitter account that he didn’t do it because no one asked him for this job.
Here’s the conversation below.
The fan asked:
“Did you not play the voice of Luke in Lego Star Wars because you didn’t want any part of another holiday special or?”
Mark Hamill responded to:
“I did not play the voice of Luke in the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special because:
A) I didn’t want to risk tarnishing the legendary status of the original.
B) They didn’t ask me to.”
