Marlon Wayans Remembers Tupac Shakur On What Would Have Been His 50th Birthday

Actor Marlon Wayans remembered his fellow friend and legendary rap icon Tupac Shakur on what would have been his 50th birthday by sharing a heartwarming message on Instagram.

Tupac Amaru Shakur was shot in a Las Vegas drive-by-shooting on September 13, 1996, just three months after his 25th birthday. However, his friends remember him on what would have been Tupac’s 50th birthday. One of them was Marlon Wayans.

Marlon Wayans and Tupac starred together in the 1994 basketball movie, Above the Rim. Wayans paid tribute to the rap icon by posting a photo of himself with Tupac on the set of Above the Rim on Instagram.

Here’s what Marlon Wayans wrote:

“Happy bday Pac! Man, heaven is fire right now! Hope y’all throwing you a crazy party up there… let my mama in… she old but she can dance her ass off. Love you Brody. We holding these artistic streets down for you. Bro you was ahead of your time. I’m finally catching up. Great things ahead for me.
