Meek Mill Reveals He Apologized To Vanessa Bryant For ‘Extremely Insensitive’ Lyric Referencing Kobe’s Death

Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill made a necessary statement after Vanessa Bryant pointed out the rapper’s lyric referencing late Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna’s death on social media.

As you know, Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna killed in a helicopter crash while traveling to the Mamba Sports Academy in California.

Vanessa posted an Instagram story Monday night and slammed Meek Mill for his lyric about Kobe and the helicopter crash that killed him, their daughter, and seven others.

Meek Mill was thought to be disrespectful of Kobe and Gianna’s memory with the lyrics in his unpublished collaboration with Lil Baby. Here are those lyrics that are mentioned; ‘Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe.’

Here’s what Vanessa Bryant wrote:

“Dear @meekmill, I find this line to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period. I am not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better that this. If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact.”

Meek Mill took to Twitter and revealed that he apologized to Vanessa in private and nothing he says on his Twitter page to an internet viral moment or the family of a grieving woman.

Here’s what Meek Mill tweeted:

“I apologized to her in private earlier today not to the public…Nothing I say on my page directed to a internet viral moment or the family of a grieving woman! If you care about someone grieving change the subject!”
