Megan Thee Stallion released her long-awaited debut album ‘Good News‘ this Friday, which includes a track named “Shots Fired,” a possible reference to what has happened between her and Tory Lanez this year, and she announced more good news on her Instagram account that Apple Music has named the rapper as the breakthrough artist of the year.
This past July, Megan Thee Stallion made accusations that Canadian rapper Tory Lanez shot her in the foot after a fight.
After many allegations, there were many rumors about the incident due to the lack of a clear explanation about it. Claiming that she was shot from the car’s back window, Stallion made the incident heard by everyone with her posts on Instagram.
On Friday, Stallion took Instagram to share more good news and one of them was her nomination for being the breakthrough artist of the year. She stated that although it has been a rough year, she still managed to achieve success.
Here’s the caption:
“MORE GOOD NEWS HOTTIES 🔥🔥 @applemusic HAS NAMED ME BREAKTHROUGH ARTIST OF THE YEAR🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 This year has been rough but we still pushed through !!!
Thank you to everyone who has been riding with me and thank you @applemusic and @oldmanebro and @neweryork for supporting me since DAY 1″
