The 63rd annual Grammy Awards are over, but controversy has been continued. Major artists such as The Weeknd, Nicki Minaj, and Justin Bieber supported the claims that Grammy was directed by a secret committee.
Last night, Megan Thee Stallion had one of her career nights. Houston rapper won gramophone in Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Song categories.
Immediately after the Grammy’s afterparty, Megan had a quick talk with TMZ and denied that her Grammy wins were pre-meditated.
Here’s what Megan Thee Stallion said:
“Hell no, the Grammys ain’t rigged. Bitch, you win some, you lose some.”
Megan Thee Stallion also did not comment on The Weeknd’s boycott of the Grammy but supported the R&B singer. She continued:
“We love The Weeknd. We stan.”
On the other hand, Billie Eilish praised Megan Thee Stallion after receiving the Record of the Year prize during her speech. She said that she was embarrassed because the Houston rapper should have won the prize.
Here’s what Billie Elisih said:
“This is really embarrassing for me. Megan, girl, I was gonna write a speech about how you deserve this but then I was like, ‘There’s no way they’re going to choose me,’ I was like, ‘It’s hers.’ You deserve this.
You had a year that I think is un-toppable. You are a queen, I want to cry thinking about how much I love you. You’re so beautiful, you’re so talented, you deserve everything in the world, I think about you constantly. I root for you always. You deserve it, honestly. Genuinely, this goes to her. Can we just cheer for Megan Thee Stallion, please.”
It’s the second year in a row that Eilish has won the award. Billie Eilish won the Record of the Year award in 2020 with the song ‘Bad Guy.’
