Meghan Trainor Explains Why Videos Of Black People Being Exposed To Police Violence Shouldn’t Be Posted

American pop singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor addresses a crucial point about the graphic videos showing black people being exposed to police violence.

In her latest post posted on Instagram, Meghan Trainor demanded justice for Jacob Blake, who was recently shot multiple times by the police officers. She also shared some useful links to help people take action for it.

The 26-year-old singer also left a reminder and explained why videos of black people being exposed to police violence shouldn’t be posted. Meghan¬†said that these videos should not be published in order to avoid trauma to black people watching these videos. She also said that people’s emotional health could be adversely affected.

Here’s the reminder:

“Please stop posting the graphic video, especially without a trigger warning. There is no need to be sharing and reposting black trauma and desensitizing others to black suffering. Please be conscious of the emotional health of your black followers and friends.”
