Paris Jackson, the daughter of Michael Jackson and indie-folk musician, has shared a throwback picture of the late rock icon, Eddie Van Halen, on her official Instagram account and penned down an emotional note to pay her respect to the legend of Van Halen.
On Tuesday, Eddie Van Halen’s son Wolfgang shared a sad tweet on his Twitter account and announced his father’s devastating death at 65. As you might remember, Van Halen‘s co-founder and guitarist Eddie Van Halen had been battling with throat cancer for over a decade.
Here’s the statement of Wolfgang:
“I can’t believe I’m having to write this, but my father, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, has lost his long and arduous battle with cancer this morning.
He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift.
My heart is broken, and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this loss.
I love you so much, Pop.“
After Eddie’s sad death news, most of his fans and friends took to social media accounts to pay their respects to the late legend. One of them was Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson.
The 22-year-old singer shared a rare picture of Eddie Van Halen on her Instagram account. She also penned down a heartbreaking note to send her condolences to Halen’s family and mourned his death.
“Wow, this fucked me up. This man here had such a massive impact on me during my most formative years. When I was figuring out who I am, what I liked, what I didn’t like, my strengths, my weaknesses, bands like Van Halen, crüe, Def Leppard, etc. were the soundtrack.
Thank you, sir for forever changing the game of rock and roll. A true shredder, a true musician, a true legend. I will wear my VH tattoo with pride forever and always. rest in transition. ♥️”
