Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson has shared a new photo on his official Instagram account and devastated after the unexpected death of Charlotte Figi, a child with a catastrophic type of epilepsy who went on to inspire a CBD movement, died at the age of 13.
Charlotte became the symbol of CBD after CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Doctor Sanjay Gupta told her story in the ‘Weed‘ documentary. The 13-year-old girl inspired many medical marijuana advances for children who had severe seizures as she did.
Mike Tyson took to social media to share a sad message after her unexpected death and talked about her contributions to the health sector and medical science.
Here’s what Mike Tyson stated:
“We all have much to be grateful for today because we woke up. My thoughts and prayers are with the parents and community of Charlotte Figi She passed away at age 13 from complications with COVID 19.
This special girl inspired many medical marijuana advances for children that suffer from severe bouts of seizures as she did. This morning I learned about her passing watching CNN @drsanjaygupta do a special memorial segment in her honor.
This girl left a big imprint on the world inspiring CBD treatments to help so many severely ill patients. If you want to learn more or donate to her foundation to help other children go to realmofcaring.org.”
