Giancarlo Esposito, known for his character Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, was a video guest on Seth Meyer’s Late Night show and discussed what it’s like to be a villain in the show.
As you may remember, Giancarlo Esposito will give life to a villain named Moff Gideon in the second season of The Mandalorian. The Mandalorian, a Star Wars story, is aired on Disney’s new platform, Disney +. Its first season was broadcast in 8 episodes in 2019. It was announced that the series, which also received the approval of the second season, will be broadcast in October 2020.
In the Late Night with Seth Meyers, although Giancarlo is a good person in real life, he discussed what it is like to be a villain in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and The Mandalorian. He tried to explain that he is a good man, although he did turn into villain characters from time to time during his speech.
Seth Meyer asked the successful actor if they were surprised when they met the real Giancarlo. Here’s what he said:
“Who and what is real Giancarlo? Yes. no, people – you know look, I’ve so got many stories about people meeting me. On the street and they are afraid to approach me especially if I have a very stern attitude. And so it’s nice to be able to be on your show and reveal who I really am. And some people are disappointed by that. But I have a lightness to being that I enjoy. And if you’re disappointed, it’s too bad.”
He also shared this video on his Twitter page and tried to convince people that he’s actually a good man in real life by saying the following. He wrote:
“Thank you, @SethMeyers! I really am a nice guy… most of the time.”
