Polo G Clarifies Why He Uses ‘Sellin Yo Soul’ After His Controversial Tweet

Chicago rapper Taurus Tremani Bartlett, known professionally as Polo G, has explained his controversial tweet where he uses the term of ‘sellin yo soul’ o his Twitter page.

Polo G tweeted on Thursday that he would never sell his soul and was not like those guys by referring to the other artists. While it’s unclear why he made this tweet, it sparked another controversy about so-called secret societies in the entertainment industry. For decades, there’s been a rumor in the industry that so-called secret societies have been running artists, and it’s said that they have to surrender their souls to be successful.

Here’s what Polo G tweeted:

“I could neva sell my soul I’m none like those guys”

Last year, criticism has surfaced that Polo G sold his soul, and it seems the young rapper is once again addressing the rumors. Polo says selling your soul isn’t necessarily a contract with the devil.

Polo G tweeted:

“Sellin yo soul ain’t necessarily a contract w the devil sellin yo soul is goin against what’s morally right fa your own benefit So when you snitch you sell yo soul, chase clout, pillow talk to hoes, cross somebody u love for money…just movin Weird in general.”

Some have claimed it could be a nod to Polo G’s upcoming album ‘Bless His Soul,’ scheduled for release tonight.
