Actress and singer Nick Jonas’ wife, Priyanka Chopra, is happy to see Kamala Harris as Vice President for the upcoming elections and expressed some best wishes to her in this political way.
The Democratic Party presidential candidate Joe Biden, who is competing for the US presidential election in 2020, announced that he had picked California Senator Kamala Harris as Vice president.
Born in California to immigrant parents from Jamaica and India, Kamala Harris is also known for her sensitivity to civil rights and her legal personality.
Chopra took to Instagram to support Joe Biden’s recent pick and congratulated her on becoming the first Black woman and first-person Indian descent to compete on a major U.S. party’s presidential ticket. Chopra also seems to have been closer to Kamala Harris, due to her Indian origin.
Here’s what Chopra wrote:
“This is a historical, transformational, and proud moment for all women. All women of color, all Black women, and all South Asian women. Congratulations, Kamala Harris, on becoming the first Black woman and FIRST PERSON of Indian descent to compete on a major U.S. party’s presidential ticket. PS: To my younger self – look how far we have come!”
