Reese Witherspoon Manifested Her Desire To Become The First Female President Of The US

Academy Award-winning actress Reese Witherspoon had a strong desire to become the first female president of the United States of America when she was a kid.

As we all know, Joe Biden named California Senator Kamala Harris as Vice President. Therefore, Witherspoon jumped to Instagram to celebrate Kamala’s new political mission and Biden’s decision.

In her post, the 44-year-old actress shared a childhood photo of herself on Instagram and told a little-known story about her truly desire when she was a kid. She wrote that she had revealed her dream to become the first female president of the United States when her teacher asked what she wanted to be when she grows up.

Here’s what Reese Witherspoon wrote:

“I woke up this morning thinking about a moment from my childhood. In the 3rd grade, our teacher asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up, I raised my hand and said, ‘I want to be the first female President of the United States of America.'”

Reese also said that her teacher encouraged her although her classmates laughed at her desire:

“‘Some of the kids laughed, but my teacher looked me in the eye and said, ‘I will be the first person to vote for you, Reese.’ My thoughts today are with women in our country, especially the young Black and Brown girls of our nation.”

She also continued by congratulating Kamala Harris:

“Who have watched their mothers hold up their families, their communities, their cities, their states? Now you know that YOU too can work hard, dedicate your life to service and show up every day to help others, and YOU can RISE to become a Vice Presidential nominee in the United States of America. Today is a truly historic day!”
