Ricky Gervais Doesn’t Want Any Pedophile Vote For His Emmy Nomination

Comedian Ricky Gervais wants to win the Emmy Awards for best actor in comedy but he doesn’t want the vote from pedophile members of Emmy.

The Emmy Voting week started on July 2, and the voting will continue until 13 July. Among the candidates is Netflix’s After Life series, which was created, produced, and directed by Ricky Gervais.

Today, the comedian asked Emmy members to vote for him as the best actor in the comedy category. Gervais portrayed Tony Johnson who is the lead author of Tambury Newspaper, a local newspaper. However, he doesn’t want the pedophiles’ votes for himself. He wrote:

“It’s Emmy Voting week! So if you’re an Emmy Member, and you’re not a pedo, please vote for me for Best Actor in a Comedy. Thanks.”

On June 30, the 59-year-old actor shared a new statement on his Instagram page and thanked his fans for making  After Life the most-watched British comedy in the world.

He wrote:

“I have no Emmy campaign for After Life. No press ads, no billboards, nothing. I didn’t have any of those things for the launch either, but fans of the show came through for me as usual and made it the most-watched British comedy in the world. And that’s better than any award.”
