Rihanna Opens Up On The Importance Of Music As An Artist In Her Career

While fans are waiting for the news of a new album, Rihanna had focused on her brand in the last couple of years. These four years without an album made her fans upset who wanted to listen to her, but in a recent interview, she assured her fans that she is working on her new album and it is going to worth to wait.

The 32-year-old successful singer announced that she is working hard for her new songs and meeting with many songwriters. The artist, who asks herself many questions during this process, is very focused on what she really wants to do.

Here’s what she asked herself:

“What do I feel personally? What do I want to put out, and as an artist, how do I want to play it with my art? How do I want to interpret that?”

Saying that she used to make songs in a more structured way before, the artist explained that what matters to her now is to do what she is happy with and to find what she enjoys doing.

Speaking that life is very difficult and everything in the world puts a lot of pressure on everyone, Rihanna said that she uses music as an escape from the overwhelming world problems.

Here’s what she said:

“You do pop, you did this genre, you do that, you do radio, but now it’s just like, what makes me happy? I just want to have fun with music. Everything is so heavy. The world that we live in is a lot. It’s overwhelming every single day. And with the music, I’m using that as my outlet.”

Rihanna also talked about how difficult it is to make music because of the pandemic. Although she wanted to go on tour and meet with her fans, it is impossible to do it. So, she explained she is thinking about how she can produce new things visually.

Here’s what she said:

“I want to go on tour but I can’t, so I’m stuck with music that I love, and now I’m trying to figure out how I can even create visuals to that. That’s a challenge as well. But I love challenges so, you know, I’m gonna get it done.”
