Houston Rockets basketball player, Russell Westbrook Jr, who denied the latest rumors that he wanted to leave Houston Rockets and no longer wanted to play with James Harden, has posted a couple of photos from his social responsibility project on Instagram and set an example for everyone.
While there is some uncertainty in his career these days, Westbrook spends his time helping the people in need. This year, many people who were already on the verge of starvation fell into more difficulty due to the pandemic and became unable to even bring bread to their homes.
The famous basketball player who wanted to do something about it, has a foundation named ‘ Why Not? Foundation‘ and according to him, its mission is to inspire the lives of children and empower them to ask Why Not?
On Friday, Westbrook shared the outcome of his annual, and COVID-safe, Thanksgiving Dinner on Instagram with a couple of photos and a video. In the video, it can be seen that Westbrook, his family, and friends are handing out Thanksgiving meals to people’s cars with extreme caution against the virus.
In the caption, Russell Westbrook stated that they handed out Thanksgiving meals to those in need in Los Angeles because it is more important than ever to support his community in these difficult times.
Here’s the caption:
“Yesterday my friends, family and I were in Los Angeles handing out Thanksgiving meals to those in need. Things are challenging right now and people are struggling.
This is why it is more important than ever for me to support my community any way I can while keeping everyone safe.”
