Sarah Paulson shared the details of her new movie ‘Run‘, as a very talented actress who successfully tackles different roles she spoke about how it felt to work with the movie’s director, Aneesh Chaganty, who doesn’t have much experience in filming.
Sarah Paulson, 45, is not an actress who plays in a single genre, neither in movies nor on television. She has a talent to tackle all kinds of roles such as horror, thriller, drama, and although Paulson has been successful in many works, it was her role in Ratched that was unlike any she played before, which made her rise recently.
Nowadays, while experiencing the excitement of her new movie ‘Run’, she shared her ideas about the film in an interview and talked about the opportunities of working with a new director.
Sarah Paulson thinks the director has a very different research style and that working with good-capacity actors in a more traditional storytelling journey, requires a different set of directing skills.
Saying that working on a set where everything is so new and learning is still happening excites her, she thinks that working with the director’s enthusiasm and energy becomes more enjoyable and it’s infectious.
In the movie, Paulson’s character portrays a mother who is very controlling and devoted to her daughter, but as the story unfolds, her daughter learns some secrets her mother kept. The film will be on Hulu on November 20th.
Here’s what she stated about Aneesh Chaganty:
“Yeah, I think it’s new for him, if I’m being completely honest. He had such a different framework set-up for Searching in terms of how everything had to be within an inch of its life, decided, pre-determined. And working with actors in this capacity where it’s a more traditional storytelling journey, I think requires a different set of directing skills.
So, I think it’s, like I said, kind of exciting to be there when all of that learning is still happening. The thing that’s sort of amazing about him is that he’s so hungry to know and that’s really exciting.
A lot of times people get so cynical and we’ve all been lucky to have been doing it for a long time and you encounter far many more people who are tired and worn out by the whole thing. He’s got so much enthusiasm and so much excitement and it’s infectious.”
