Scottie Pippen Says ‘I Loved His Approach To The Game’ While Mourning After His Friend’s Death

One of the iconic Chicago Bull basketball players, Scottie Pippen, has shared a throwback picture of his close friend and also a former NFL player, Gale Sayers, via his official Instagram account and penned down a heartfelt tribute to pay his respect to his late buddy.

According to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Chicago Bears legend Gale Sayers has passed away at the age of 77 on Wednesday.  The reason for his death has not been released.

After the tragic death of Gale, most of his friends and fans headed to the social media accounts to pay their respects to the Chicago Bears’ legend. One of them was his close friend, Scottie Pippen.

The 54-year-old former basketball player shared a rare throwback picture of his late buddy on Instagram. He also penned down a heartbreaking note to pay his respect to his late friend and remember their old days.

In the message, Scottie mentioned Gale’s personality and explained his feelings:

“Gale Sayers was someone who I admired long before I arrived in Chicago.

I loved his approach to the game and, of course, how he played it. He inspired me to be great in a city that loves sports like no other.

RIP to one of the @NFL’s best ever. #KansasComet @chicagobears.”

A fan named Craig wrote:

“Rip one of the greats.”

Another fan named Diana said:

“So sad to hear. Class act.”
