During a recent interview with Today, pop singer Selena Gomez has shared a new update on her mental health problems.
Gomez admitted that anxiety and depression hurt herself. She said:
“Although this does not mean that it has all gone away, I can say that after a year of a lot of intense work I am happier, I am healthier and I’m in control of my emotions and thoughts more than I have ever been. I have feared being misunderstood and judged.
I know that I have been given experiences and people and opportunities that have made my life exceptionally beautiful and sweet — and yet I struggle with my own thoughts and feelings at times. But this doesn’t make me faulty. This does not make me weak. This does not make me less than. This makes me human. We need help, and we need each other.”
Back on 13 June 2019, “Good For You” singer has shared her thoughts about why she deleted Instagram from her phone.
Selena Gomez stated that Instagram makes her depressed. She said:
“I think it’s become really unhealthy for young people, including myself, to spend all of their time fixating on all of these comments and it was affecting me. It would make me depressed, it would make me feel not good about myself, and look at my body differently.
I have it [the app] on someone else’s phone and when I feel like I wanna share something with my fans, I do it then.”
