As a Latina artist, Shakira drew attention to the importance of the upcoming American elections like many celebrities and urged the Latin people living in America to vote with a video she shared via her official Instagram account.
Many celebrities on social media are calling for the American people to vote because they think the American people need immediate change. Due to the importance of the elections, there has been an unprecedented trend of participation and most of the posts on social media are almost all related to the elections, and the majority of celebrities continue to urge people to vote.
One of them is the Latin singer Shakira and on the video, she shared on Instagram, she declared that Latinas are a strong and powerful community. Shakira believes that they are the force behind their families in their communities and she also believes with their influence by speaking up and voting they can transform society.
Shakira basically told her followers that all they need to do is vote and emphasized that ‘a vote is a voice.’ Although she admits that Latinas are a minority in America, she believes that this time around their voices will make a huge difference during this election.
