Horror novelist Stephen King has revealed the worst horror movie he’s ever seen and wondered what fans think about the worst horror movie they ever saw.
One of the greatest horror writers of all time, Stephen King has also proven himself to be a good movie commentator. King, who had predicted the final season of Mare of Easttown before and his prediction was correct, made a comment about horror movies this time.
King pointed to the 1963 movie Blood Feast as the worst movie he’s ever seen. The IT writer also posed the same question to his fans and wanted to know which is the worst horror movie they’ve ever seen.
Here’s what Stephen King tweeted:
“What is the worst horror movie you ever saw? For me, BLOOD FEAST.”
Blood Feast is a 1963 horror film directed by Herschell Gordon Lewis, often considered the first ‘splatter film.’ It was produced by David F. Friedman. The screenplay was written by Alison Louise Downe, who had previously appeared in several of Lewis’s other films. Lewis also wrote the film’s score.
The movie tells a story that an Egyptian caterer kills various women in suburban Miami to use their body parts to bring to life a dormant Egyptian goddess, while an inept police detective tries to track him down.
