Sylvester Stallone Reacts To Suicide Squad Director James Gunn’s Casting Announcement

Iconic Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone has joined the Suicide Squad cast after director James Gunn announced on Instagram by sharing a new photo of himself and the legendary actor.

James Gunn announced that Sylvester Stallone will be in the movie Suicide Squad with a new post he shared on Instagram. He shared a photo of himself and the actor side by side and revealed that he always loved working with the iconic actor.

“Always love working with my friend @officialslystallone & our work today on #TheSuicideSquad was no exception. Despite Sly being an iconic movie star, most people still don’t have any idea what an amazing actor this guy is. 🙌”

Following this news, Stallone jumped to Instagram and shared his thoughts on joining the Suicide Squad cast. The actor shared a screenshot of the casting announcement and expressed his joy in working with James Gunn. This unexpected news said it made 2020 a great year for him. He also expressed his luck to work with a director like James Gunn.

Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is set to open in theaters on August 6, 2021.

As you might remember, Margot Robbie and Jai Courtney are back as Harley Quinn and Captain Boomerang, as are Viola Davis (Amanda Waller) and Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg). Gunn will be adding some new supervillains with big names such as Nathan Fillion (T.D.K.), Idris Elba (Bloodsport), and John Cena (Peacemaker) are known, with Stallone now joining. There are some claims that he will be the voice of King Shark.
