Rapper T-Pain, whose real name is Faheem Rasheed Najm, is ready for a ‘super apologize’ after he noticed he got many message requests from his fellow celebrities on Instagram.
T-Pain shared a video revealing Instagram DM requests on Wednesday, saying he had mistakenly ignored messages from many celebrities for 2 years.
Hundreds of messages included Fergie, Minnesota Timberwolves basketball player Karl-Anthony Towns, singer Keri Hilson, Bachelor star Tyler Cameron, former basketball star Nate Robinson, and Viola Davis.
T-Pain said that he had just noticed these messages after 2 years and questioned how he would apologize to these people. He even jokingly stated that he could organize a press conference.
Here’s what T-Pain said:
“I swear!! I’m just now seeing all these messages and mentions TODAY!!!! How do I super apologize? Press conference? Town hall meeting? I’m dumb”
In the video’s voice-over, the rapper explained why he ghosting all these messages:
“I was today years old when I found out about the request folder on Instagram that’s full of celebs trying to reach me. Dude is that Fergie?! smh. I’ve been accidentally straight up ignoring all these people for like 2 years.
I thought DM’s are supposed to just show up in the normal folder and you dont have to go digging for all these. I apologize to everyone on this list and the hundreds of others I couldn’t fit in this video. These are just the ones I haven’t checked and replied to. Yup……. I’m stupid.”
