Faheem Rasheed Najm, better known by his stage name T-Pain, has shared his thought about the use of auto-tune and its effect on the new generation of artists in the music industry.
As you all know, T-Pain is one of the first rappers to use auto-tune effectively. His influence using auto-tune seemed affected young artist, because, every young artist use auto-tune.
During a recent conversation with ‘Black Girl Nerds,’ T-Pain discussed his influence on young artists using auto-tune and said that he believed he has been doing the right thing from the beginning of his musical career.
Here’s what T-Pain stated:
“The way that it’s spread and the way that everybody’s using it now, that lets me know I’ve been doing the right thing from the beginning, ’cause if I wasn’t doing the right thing, nobody else would have done it. Why would you copy something that’s bad? I know I’ve been doing the right thing from the jump.”
T-Pain said he believed it had an effect on people using auto-tuning and continued:
“Absolutely. It hasn’t gone anywhere. It hasn’t been any different. And the fact that people are—even newer artists are still using it and people are coming into it and still using it. I knew I was doing the right thing. I needed everybody else to catch on.”
On the other hand, back on January 21, T-Pain updated his Instargam feed and showed a surprise that his co-worker did it for the rapper.
Nappy Boy is an American record label founded by R&B and hip hop artist T-Pain. The company recently moved to its new building in Florida. Moreover, one of the company employees had a surprise for T-Pain.
He showed his love for the employee who hung a sign saying ‘reserved parking, CEO Teddy’ in the place where he parked his car and shared how emotional he was in his Instagram post.
