Taylor Swift Auctions A Priceless Personal Belonging For Those Affected By COVID-19

At the 2020 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, Taylor Swift whose songs, style, and clips are loved by her fans, was able to surprise not only her fans this time but everyone who watched her live.

She performed her new song ‘Betty’ from her new album ‘Folklore’ live for the first time. She hasn’t been heard singing a country song for a long time.

Her performance was at the famous Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. She came to the stage with her acoustic guitar and harmonica. Unlike her flamboyant live performances, she was alone on the stage with her song and beautiful voice.

The last time Taylor Swift sang at the ACM award ceremony was 7 years ago, in 2013. So, it was a very special guitar and it was announced on ACM Awards account that Taylor Swift’s guitar is being auctioned with the aim of helping those who suffer because of COVID-19. The funds raised will be used to provide relief for all affected by COVID-19.

The 2018 Gibson acoustic guitar was inscribed as ‘This guitar was played on September 16, 2020, on the ACM Awards./ by Taylor’, and it was estimated between 25,000 USD- 40,000 USD. The current bid is 14,000 USD’s but there are 10 more days for the end of the auction.

Here’s what ACM Awards tweeted about Taylor’s guitar:

“What do @taylorswift13’s Gibson acoustic guitar and @DollyParton’s dulcimer have in common? They’re among items that are part of @ChristiesInc’s “Nashville: An Auction To Benefit ACM Lifting Lives COVID-19 Response Fund” from Oct 15-29 on christies.com/Nashville.”
